Fridge

Empty the fridge and remove any expired or leftover food. Wipe down interior surfaces, shelves and drawers with a mild detergent or water and vinegar solution. Pay attention to spills, stains, odours and clean thoroughly. Also clean the outside of the fridge, including handles and doors.

Oven and Stove

Remove any food residue or spillage from the oven and stove/cooktop. If there are any removable parts such as grates, knobs or drip pans, clean them separately with hot soapy water or a suitable cleaner. Wipe down the interior of the oven and stove/cooktop with a suitable cleaner, scrubbing away any stubborn stains. Don’t forget to clean the extractor hood and filter, if any.

Microwave

Wipe the inside of the microwave with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any food splashes or stains. Use a microwave-safe cleaner or a mixture of water and mild detergent to remove stubborn stains. Pay attention to the turntable and microwave door. Also clean the outside, including the control panel and handle.

Dishwasher

Clean the inside of the dishwasher by removing any food particles or debris from the filter and spray arms. Wipe the interior walls and shelves with a damp cloth or sponge. If there are stains or mineral deposits, use a dishwasher detergent or a mixture of water and vinegar to remove them. Don’t forget to clean the outside, including the control panel and door.

Washing Machine

Run an empty cycle with hot water and a cup of white vinegar to clean the washing machine drum and remove any odours. Wipe down the inside of the door and rubber seal to remove any residue or mould. Clean the detergent dispenser and filter if necessary. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth or sponge.

Dryer

Clean the lint trap or filter after each use to maintain proper airflow and prevent fire hazard. Wipe the inside of the drum and door with a damp cloth to remove any lint or debris. Clean the exterior of the dryer, including the control panel and door.

Small Appliances

Clean other small appliances, such as coffee makers, toasters and kettles, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Empty and clean the coffee filter or grounds container, descale if necessary and wipe down the exterior surfaces.

Ventilation Systems

Check and clean ventilation systems, including range hoods and bathroom exhaust fans, to ensure they are free of grease, dust and build-up. Remove and clean filters and wipe down exterior surfaces.
